Since 1977, TQC has been at the forefront of bespoke engineering, automation and test technology. Born from TecQuipment — founded in 1958 by Sir Joseph Pope of Nottingham University — we were established to transfer world-leading engineering expertise from academia to industry.

On 26 September 1977, TQC opened its doors in Nottingham. What began as a specialist consultancy quickly evolved into a trusted partner for advanced industrial automation and testing. Following a management buy-out in 1985, TQC Ltd entered a new era of growth, independence, and innovation — a journey that continues to this day.

In 2025, we proudly celebrate 40 years of TQC Ltd, marking four decades of engineering excellence, customer partnerships, and British manufacturing capability.
